Bush-T.org was founded to clarify the Case Against Bush and to raise money for MoveOn.org, one of the finest progressive organizations with the reach and clout to make a real difference. They provide invaluable support for progressive politics through their controversial ads, education on issues, and e-mail campaigns. We Liberals may have lost the election but the fight must go on! The battle has just begun and it's going to take all of our efforts to turn this around.
During events in New York surrounding the RNC we heard and met the founders Operation Truth.org. We were very favorably impressed and moved by them and have decided to add them as a co- benificiary. We believe that they are the best progressive voice for our soldiers and the issues that concern our troops both during and after their service. There, too, is another battle that must be won, and we want to help with funding for their efforts.
Towards clarifying the Case Against Bush, Bush-T.org offers what we think is an outstanding and concise collection of links to organizations, activist groups, and articles that cogently cover the administration and its policies. We feature pieces on a variety of issues by creditable journalists both here and around the world, as well as economists, politicians, think tanks, scientists, generals, et al. Mouse over a link or two to get a brief description of what the article is about and see if you want to read the piece. Some you may have read before, some may be new to you. Either way, we are sure you'll be interested and that you'll come out of the experience better armed to convince others.
To raise money for MoveOn.org and Operation Truth.org , we offer two versions of a brilliant, must have political t-shirt that says it all by rising Latin American artist Sebastian Piel. It shows an international perspective on Bush's reasons for the Iraq war and depicts the administration's disregard for world opinion. It may be in your face, but it is frighteningly accurate. Like all controversial art, it works on many levels. The details, like the oil spill in the shape of the US and the Pinocchio ears raise questions about Iraq, Bush's ties to oil and business, and its impact on eco-conservation as well as criticizing the administration's dishonesty. The vaguely diabolic look questions the idea of an Axis of Evil. We invite you to wear it and voice your opposition to the Bush administration.
50% of our net proceeds go directly to MoveOn.org and Operation Truth.org. Remaining funds will be used to maintain and update this site, cover expenses like printing and mailing, and introduce new projects and fund raising products.
So come into our site. Feed your mind with non hysterical, reasoned articles on what the administration is up to, and feed your soul by buying a t-shirt for progressive politics and troops.
